In the Humor Contest, there were four contestants, namely, Victor Ong; Foong Weng Tuck; SK Khor; and Chan Siew Peng. All four did their best to entertain us and to get us to laugh. In the end, when the results were announced, Chan Siew Peng was the Champion and Foong was the first runner-up. There were only two winners because one of the participant did not meet the minimum qualifying time.
As for the Speech Evaluation contest, there were a big field of 7 contestants, and I am listing them down in their order of appearance: Victor Ong; Joyce Hue; Karen Yan; Bernard Louis; Foong Weng Tuck; Chan Siew Peng; and SK Khor. The test speaker was from PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Lilian Wah who presented a speech titled “Decision”. And the winners were Bernard Louis (Champion)’ Chan Siew Peng (first runner-up) and Victor Ong (second runner-up).
And so, Siew Peng and Foong will represent D’Utama Advanced for the B1 Area Humor Contest, and Bernard Louis wil represent the same Club for the B1 Area Speech Evaluation Contest to be hgeld on September 04 at Taylor’s University College Lakeside Campus.
