Meeting chose the theme “OLYMPICS”
to coincide with the current Olympics 2012 event held in London 2012.All members
/guests are to come informally and dress in their respective sports shirts/sports
gears, it is also the first time that sports wears/sport gears are seen in the
meeting.
SAA Jeff Poon with his red Fila shirt in a vibrant mood ,called the meeting to order , honorable guests introduced themselves among the guests were 1st timer Amir ,Tm Leona, TM Nahela from DKC TMC, Ms Ivy Tan Area Governor from Sabah and Area Q Governor Lee Tong Foong,District Public Relations Officer Lim Lay Kun ACB, ALS
President Dinesh Krishnan CC delivered his presidential address and announced and congratulate the winners for Humorous speech and Speech Evaluation contest held on 8th August2012 ;
they are Yip Wah Pung DTM, for humourous speech and Bernard Louis DTM for speech evaluation
TME for the night was our charming and eloquent TM Chooi Kum Ying who was also TME for a second time, she welcome all present to meeting and introduced history of Toastmasters International to audience, and its mission ,she further introduced Role players; explain the agenda details
Topics: Is Malaysia ready to
host Olympics Games?
Six speakers involved ,3 speakers for and 3 speakers against
the selected the topics; each speaker was given 2 mins.this turned out to be a hilarious
session with speakers churning out their wild thoughts and amused the audience.

Evaluator for Battle
of the Wits, DTM Peter Siew explained in details of how the Battle of the Wits should
be handled., speakers must be witty and skillfully speaking for or against the
Topic given.Wits (power to reason)is the key word in this session.

speech title “My name is Cherry Ho” relooked at her life differently after
working so hard scarifying personal times, she now spends more time for her
life and manage a good balanced life style .enjoying her hobby in photography
and travelling to Taiwan/Korea.

Title: “My Name is Johan,”
Johan is witty and humorous ,quoting his name Johan means champion He job
is to plan and plans and organises
events/seminars and Facebook on line application /loves to run and hope to do
a half or full Marathon someday he is a highly motivated soul.
She mentioned she has a square face, and told of her earlier education and childhood days, explained that square is actually a resource to reach the goals and is a multiplier effect.

manual speech by TM Carmen Teng
Titled: “candles”
Carmen told of an incident when she urgently needed to buy candles to
celebrate Mid autumn festival party but was unable to, due to finishing work
late .She accidentally met a stranger who helped her to get the candles needed
at no costs. She was so grateful to him but unable to contact the stranger
again .She still keeps her candle until today. For remembrance.

Titled “How to cook
curry chicken”
This young part time chef shared his secret recipes on how
to cook a good curry chicken dish, with the audience .recipes, ingredients
inclusive it was indeed a difficult topic to deliver.
Our IPP GE Bernard
Louis DTM led the session for evaluation, humorously mentioned that he
should not have wore short pants today.
Open evaluation was carried and open to the floor to all present
