D'Utama Advanced Toastmasters Club end the term as a President’s Distinguised club with 10/10 DCP goals

Meeting theme: To the fishing line.

Martin Hen was the Toastmaster of the Evening and he conducted the meeting in a friendly, humorous and enjoyable manner. This is his first time as the TME at our club.

Jeff Poon was the Table Topics Master and four people participated in that session,and spoke convincingly on the topics presented to them.

Dr Arul was voted as the Best speaker.

During the break, there was a cake for the June Birthday boys followed by a photo session for all the fathers in attendance, in conjunction with the forthcoming Father’s Day celebrations ( Sunday 17 June ).

For the prepared speeches we had one Icebreaker , one project no. 6 from the CC manual, two

 ‘ Inspire Your Audience’ speeches ( no 10 of the CC manual ) and one Advanced speech.

Nelson Zhou whose icebreaker speech was entitled ‘ Lessons from Seven countries ‘  taught us the art of packing. He has moved frequently in the past, from one country to another. He was voted the best speaker for the evening.

                         Kenyu Ho enthralled us with his vocal variety in ‘ It’s time to Listen. ‘

Cherrise Tan completed her 10^th speech, inspiring us in a speech entitled  ‘ Do you feel Lucky ? ‘. Our newest Competent Communicator spoke of her two mentors in her life.

   37 turned up including 6 guests. Everyone was enjoying the speeches and Evaluations.

ACS Chan Siew  Peng completed her second CC award in a speech where she urged the audience to  “ Focus More On Your Desires “.

CC Chen Yien Li toasted to Mr. Dick Grayson at a Barbeque party in ‘ A toast to my mentor ‘.

DTM Dr. Arul was the General Evaluator.

We had a marvellous group of evaluators including CC Patrick Lim who gave an amusing report on the Table Topics session.  The other evaluators were CC Dinesh Krishnan ( incoming club president ), ACS Jess Foong, Div B Gov ACB Lim Lay Kun, Past DG DTM Joseph Gomez and ACG Lee Wei Seong. They gave insightful and helpful feedback to the speakers. Lim Lay Kun was voted the Best evaluator.
