Six days ago, DU Advanced held its first ever meeting with the NEW Theme" BE THE CHANGE" ,wow, its was a splashing encounter indeed !
25 members/guests filled the room with Ecstasy and were there ready to witness the proceeding at 7.45hr !
We had a world trekker Andy Stoll from Iowa USA; Long lost DTM Subramaniam,Coaching Specialist Ms Liew Huey Hua;Image Expert Ms Cherrise Tan;Outsider who heard our Club and just walked in Ms Selena Lim.Area Governor B1 Meyappa was also there to grace the meeting.
How extraordinary!
After President's maiden Speech " Focus on Breathing and Be the Change" TME Lee Wei Seong swung into action and kept the meeting lively with pulsating beats !
DTM Sheila Wong's table topics " Flowers or fruits for ladies as present ",made everyone hilarious when speakers spoke without fear and favour in this genders sensitive topic !
.Speakers included DTM Subramaniam,Ms Huey Hua,Maria Yap,Victor,Andy Stoll,Kenneth Sheen,after which DTM Low YS gave a very unbias evaluations for the speakers to take home.
Speech delivery by Chan Siew Peng ACB mesmerised the crowd with her Poetic composure of poetry "The Finer thought" by Edgar Guest of 1881-1969.Edgar was the Poet of the people during the great depression.
The high-lights followed was an Ice Breaker Speech by 18 years old Danny Siah who was courageous enough to deliver the speech with humours telling about himself,interesting clubbings activities in THE Curve, rock climbing and meeting up with new female friends.Syabas Danny !The open Evaluation was conducted by General Evaluator Ivan Ho ACS most guests,members took part and gave their own point of views to speakers for enhancement.
Towards, 10.20 pm the heats cooled off and all present were well entertained and will remember this awesome 1st meeting of DU Advanced Toastmasters Club !
