Candle lights meeting 13March2008


with 16 members and 2 guests the meeting of DU advanced Kicked off last night with a very romantic yet tranquilised mood, in the air the scents of aromatic lavender prevailed.The whole room was lighted up with small candles and tables dressed with colour ribbons turning the whole meeting into a romantic ,enchanted mood.



After President Lee Wei Seong's speech .TME Nancy Liew ACB,CL took the lectern then we had Bonnie Loo sharing her touching story of how to teach those poor needy children English for free.Being a dynamic speaker she thrilled us all with speech titled" a Child's life is like a wet cement...once dried up it will be imprinted.forever."Next Samantha Teoi was almost in tears when told of her relationships with her father and those unforgettable moments when as an infant.speech titled; Never too late ”. Finally, Deborah Hoe was witty enough and had all audience wondered over many intrigue questions of creativity ...how to push a glass through a hole in a piece of paper and many successful stories of those dared to dream ,dare to think out of the box stories like "Croc shoes"ugly looking yet making A 20 million in a year,and new ways of circus entertainment.entitled – “Everyday CreativityMaking A Difference”. GE Tham Chee Wah DTM opened to all for evaluation and many of us had a lot to take home before we called it a night,thank you and syabas to all speakers,role players,guests we all made the night of enchantment a reality ! Birthday boy Peter Siew was given a card and lovely hugs from us ,Many happy returns of the day to Peter Siew DTM,and LEE ANN Tang DTM who was not present but missed by all of us !
