YLP Appreciation dinner at Canoodling

It was a light and fun dinner we had on the 6th December. We invited all the speakers of the Youth Leadership Program for an appreciation dinner. It is D'Utama Advanced treat to those who have helped make this event a success. Once again, a heartfelt thanks for your assistance.

We had great Thai/local food at Canoodliong - Bangsar Village 2. Chee Wah, Karen, Jason, Julian and myself turned up had a a great time laughing and talking about all that happened during the YLP weekend. Ernest, Qin Mei and Hui Shan couldn't make it to the dinner at the last minute due to work commitments.

Nevertheless, you all were greatly missed at the dinner. And oh! We ate your part of the celebratory dessert on your behalf.

D'Utama Advanced Toastmasters Club will be organizing a Youth Leadership Program + Direct Imagery on the 27th & 28th November 2010. Our aim is to develop leadership skills while teaching the participants communication and presentation skills. This time round, we are confident that we would be able to bring out the best in the participants and lead them to be successful in their future.

We have lined up great speakers to share their knowledge and experience with the participants. Not only that, this 2 day event is going to be packed with games and activities so the participants will get to learn hands-on while having fun.

Youth Leadership Program (YLP). This year D'Utama Advanced Toastmasters Club is organizing a Youth Leadership Program. Past participants have mentioned that the previous YLPs were fun, educational and was a great event. This is due to the high quality of the course materials, the very talented and dedicated speakers and the exceptional team behind the whole planning of the event.

Through the YLP, participants get to learn the many skills required to excel in their future. From public speaking skills to leadership skills and even building on their dreams, this is a must not miss program. The November 2010 YLP is targeted to all secondary school students, college students and youths

Objectives. At the end of the course, participants will:

• Overcome nervousness when speaking before an audience
• Organize and present ideas logically and convincingly
• Listen and give advice to others and improve their leadership skills
• Able to set goals and work to achieve it


BONUS! 2 hours of 'Direct Imagery for Building your Future'

This year there will be an additional boost to the program. We are inviting a Certified Hypnotherapist to add in the elements of Direct Imagery to our program. This is a new concept of learning in the market today. With so much information and activities for the young today, it is not only important for them to read and memorize materials from text books, the internet etc, but they have to understand and apply the principles into their lives too. Through Direct Imagery, if one can see the final outcome in your mind, it will be able to help you achieve your goals or lead to a better future.
