Dear All,
Our first meeting for the term started with a huge bang. A total of 42 people attended our
meeting on 14 July 2011, 17 members and 25 guests! Our guests came from all over Klang
Valley, including friends from Klang Bilingual, Standard Chartered and DKC.
It was an honour and privilege to have in attendance our Division B Governor ACB Lim
Lay Kun and Area B1 Governor ACS Jess Foong who was on her official club visit.
The meeting was smoothly conducted by the Toastmaster of the Evening, Immediate
Past President and Area B5 Governor ACS Nancy Liew and CC CL Helen Quat of Metro
Toastmasters club provided valuable feedback as the General Evaluator.
Angie Ng presented her icebreaker speech and she is eager to move on with her speeches.
There was a fine selection of Advanced Speeches by CC SK Khor, DTM Johnson Yike,
ACS Ivan Ho and ACS Chan Siew Peng. Siew Peng who was judged as the Best project speaker of the
evening.
The Best Table Topic speaker was Catherine ( our guest ) and Dennis bagged the Best
Evaluator award.
We had a birthday cake for our July celebrants- ACB CL Chen Yien Li, ACS Ivan Ho and
DTM Dennis Wee.
Thank you everyone for making it an awesome evening.
Wednesday,10 August is our club Humorous Speech and Evaluation contest at 7:30 PM at
the same venue- KDU, Damansara Jaya.
Our next club meeting is on Thursday 11 August and we are looking forward to another
scintillating evening.
We hope to see all of you at D’Utama Advanced Toastmasters club.
