The meeting on the 08.10.2009 was a great meeting with members in attendance witnessing four speakers attempting 4 different Advanced Manuals. We are truly honour to have Helen Quat the Vice President of Education from Metro Toastmasters Club to grace our meeting.
The meeting started at 7.40pm, the President Foong Weng Tuck, ACB CL share with us about the story of Cinderella and the punctuality lesson based on the story. The Toastmasters of the Evening, Victor Ong ACB CL took over the lectern from the President. He had creatively presented the history of Toastmasters International using power point slides and he introduced the program of the night.
We had SK Khor as the Table Topics Master and 5 of us attempted 5 various topics, they were: Dr Arulnathan, Chan Siew Peng, Low Yat Seow, Subramanian and our Area Governor, Julian Gan.
We then break for dinner, everyone was enjoying the sumptous dinner inclusive the ASA, Bernard Louis. But he did not forget to call the meeting in order and it was on time. But there was a banana next to the timing device as he was also the timer besides the ASA. I think he must have done that intentionally just in case the yellow light fail.
